6800Ultra no trilinear filtering!!!??? - 2005/01/26 06:02
Ha! I think I have a catched a good one for all of you! I have for about three months now an Asus 6800Ultra Deluxe which thanks to this site and all of the good people here after a BIOS modding and flashing now works just fine without lockups or freezes. Now my "problem" or my question is: Do 6800 Ultras support trilinear filtering and what is that? I just try to run "Meshuggah" demo and I get an error occurred saying that device-6800 Ultra doesn't support trilinear filtering failed to load data and initialize effect system! and "Meshuggah" close. Also after installing CoolBits v3.0 I notice that in the AGP capabilities in "Max request queue depth" GPU has 256, Chipset has 32, OS has 32 and optimal is 256. Also in "Max AGP rate" GPU is 8X, Chipset is 8X, OS is 2X and Optimal is 8X. Is this normal? With my old MSI 5900Ultra I get in "Max request queue depth" all 256 and in "Max AGP rate" all 8X. Is something wrong with 6800Ultras afterall? If someone knows something please answer me. Thanks!
