You always need to make a backup! That is the first thing to do. And also attach it to this thread. 
Well flashing is up to you. You might gain some more speed... And if you can already run the Ultra speeds then it should work. But as always flashing you do at your own risk... Most GT's can run as an Ultra, but it can always happen some can't.
