Running two GeForce 8800 GT's in SLI mode with problems? - 2008/08/05 23:12
Hello, it's been a long time since I was active on the forums, but honestly I check the site every day to see reviews and new news. Now getting to the point, recently I bought another GeForce 8800 GT but from other vendor XpertVision while the first one was an ASUS. So I flashed the new one with the ASUS BIOS to make SLI working other wise it wasn't working. The problem is that in SLI mode I can't overclock at all after a while Windows tells me that the display driver stopped responding.
But if I run each card alone I can reach 750/2052MHz with the shaders at 1800MHz, but in SLI mode I can only overclock the memory. So does anyone have an idea why? I'm using ForceWare 177.79 and other drivers also tells me that the display driver stopped responding. Both graphics cards using after market cooler, meaning a Zalman GV1000. Help me please, and thanks in advance.
My System Specifications... - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (at 3.6GHz) Processor - ASUS Striker Extreme nForce 680i Mainboard - OCZ Platinum 4GB DDR2 Dual Channel Memory - Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate
