No problem mate, to ask questions. So since you got the money and means to change than surely two Radeon HD 4870's in CrossFire will beat the GeForce GTX 280, that is just natural. Though one Radeon HD 4870 won't and these don't scale well with overclocking. Related to flashing these cards it should be very similar as to the NVIDIA cards but there are less good tweaking tools for the BIOS...
