ASUS Extreme AH3650 problems, and Windows Vista 64-bit? - 2008/07/09 08:31
I installed Windows Vista SP1 64-bit version. After that, installed drivers from ASUS P5KC mainboard. Computer was working properly. Problem started when I installed the graphics card drivers. Computer work properly and in control panel everything is okay, but when I try to turn off computer I have problems. It seems as Windows is shutdown. Problem is that it isn't. Indicator on the plate is sparking. I turn off my APC security cable. After this, when I boot the system I get Windows where I have to select safe mode, normal, etc...
Because Windows didn't turn off properly, when I uninstall the Radeon HD 3650 drivers I haven't this problem. First I try with drivers on CD, then I download some Vista 64-bit drivers from ASUS site, then from ATI site and it didn't help. After this I install Vista Ultimate 32-bit and everything was same. Also when I boot system until login when I decided to turn off computer, it works well. I tried with Windows XP and installed drivers from CD. Everything was perfect. What can I do? Whether I have to do some additional setup.
System Configuration... - Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 Processors - ASUS P5KC Socket 775 Mainboard - Unknows 4GB System Memory - ASUS Extreme AH3650 256MB Card - Samsung 226BW Display
