Well that is the same for all BIOS's, and when the version is a too big jump it could be that the board was redesigned a bit and that means the BIOS might not work that fine. And no the BIOS is not corrupt and yeah it is for a Point of View card. But it might be that quite some changes took place which causes the BIOS to not function well on standard GeForce 8800 GT cards. And the size isn't a concern every BIOS is around 58-63kb and that is just normal.
