ForceWare drivers and Crysis game performance comparison? - 2008/06/14 06:50
Well I just wanted to share as well some feedback on the drivers released by NVIDIA lately and go over the actual performance delivered as such by using Crysis. As you know Crysis is really a hard game to get good frame rates so it should show really if difference in drivers do make a difference in gaming performance.
Test System Configuration... - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 at 2.7GHz - Abit AB9 Pro Silent OTES Mainboard - NoName 2x 1GB DDR2-800 Memory - GeForce 9600 GT 512MB at 750/1872MHz - Seagate 7200.10 320GB Hard Disk - Windows Vista Business 32-bit
ForceWare Drivers Included... - ForceWare 174.74 (Official) - ForceWare 175.12 (Beta) - ForceWare 175.63 (Beta) - ForceWare 175.70 (Beta) - ForceWare 175.80 (Beta) - ForceWare 177.39 (Beta)
Crysis Gaming Settings... - Resolution : 1440x900 - Image Quality : Default High - Anti-Aliasing : None - Anisotropic Filtering : Default High - Level Precaching : Yes
The default ingame benchmark does 4 runs each time. The results below are the averages of the last 3 runs. The first run usually produces inconsistent results because the level is still being loaded into system memory and this causes some stuttering.
