Well indeed you should really have used your own thread, cause this is not at all related to the GeForce 9800 GTX, so if you have other stuff to talk about start your own as that would be great. So I guess you got a mainboard with an onboard graphics card, which would then indeed be the first card which you can't flash and the GeForce 9600 GT would become the second one. The GeForce 9600 GT and overclocking might not make that much difference in certain games but try also some 3DMark benchmark suites.
