Having checked now both the BIOS's I have to say that you don't have tow the same cards. Meaning you have one OC and one OC2 version of the BFG GeForce 8800 GTX graphics edition. That means that these cards don't run at the same clock speeds and therefore could certainly give issues while running in SLI mode. So the BIOS version ending in .05 is actually an OC edition that runs at 600MHz core and the one ending in .15 is really the OC2 version which runs at 626MHz core. So on that aspect I would advice to flash the OC version to the OC2 version and than try again the SLI mode.
