Re:ASUS Extreme AX1650 PRO AGP, facing problem with drivers? - 2008/05/29 00:15
Hello, I flashed the BIOS of my ASUS Radeon X1650 PRO mainly because I wanted OpenGL support in Linux. But it didn't work and now I'm having trouble restoring my cards BIOS to its original state. I searched the web for a BIOS that matches my card but didn't find any and I also tried to use the BIOS in the first post of this thread but it doesn't really work. I think I may have done a mistake while flashing back to the original BIOS and now, although DirectX works and I can play games in 3D, the fps is kinda lower, and if I try to play or use OpenGL I either get a blue screen, a system hang or very bad performance from my computer after I close the OpenGL application.
Also now I'm having real troubles with my system stability. Unfortunately I can't say what commands I did use to reflash my card because I can't remember. Could someone please give me a good BIOS with instructions on how to reflash my card? I know I won't be able to use it with OpenGL under linux which is a big problem for me but still for the time beeing I can't afford another card. Thank you for your help and sorry for my bad English.
