A bit late, but can you share thet newer BIOS from XFX so we can have a look it? Maybe we can somehow see if we can tweak a bit the fan speed ourselves. If else what I would do is downclock the card a bit to make sure it doesn't heat up that high and can remain working without artifacts. Yeah RMA is payable, unless you can persuade XFX to pay for the return.
