Re:Why is my system idle process always using +70% CPU time? - 2008/03/31 19:28 Well I hate to dig up this corpse of a thread, but here goes. First off I can't speak to what you refer to as sluggish, but as for the system idle process, I can. In short, if you computer is idle you want to see that your system idle process is running near 100%. If you subtract the system idle process percentage from 100%, you get your CPU usage which is displayed at the bottom of the task manager. Hope that clears up the confusion.
