Yes it is normal on the Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics cards that the BIOS's are not of the same size as it seems as one of them is only a limited version which is not really controlling the card as such. Now we have no real experience in tweaking the BIOS'sf these cards so you would be one of the first to try this...
