Euh, and where did you get that the Radeon HD 3870 comes with GDDR3 memory? Cause as far as we have seen and know the Radeon HD 3870 comes only with GDDR4 memory. And having checked the GeCube website and their Radeon HD 3780 products it confirms this, only GDDR4 memory versions. The lower version, the Radeon HD 3850 comes with GDDR3 memory. So you can just flash to the OC version if you want.
