Thanks for your reply Mavke. What worries me is that those parts were generating a respectable amount of heat when they were cooled by the stock heatpipe fan configuration around 50°C with lazer thermometer, so it's a double sided dagger! Closing them up can be hazardous, and also it can be a condensation generating spot!
