It depends from the stepping... A guy have a AMD Athlon 64 4000+ clocked to 3.1GHz... You should be happy of 2.9GHz, as my Athlon 64 4200+ (S939), runs now at 2.640GHz at 1.51V, maybe I'll need to put 1.53V. The temps is fine, 37°C under full load, air cooling, but some CPU will have better overclock than others.
