Re:AMD Athlon X2 4200+ at 2.895GHz, but not stable... - 2006/10/28 13:26
I saw an Athlon 3200+ AM2 with nearly 3GHz and DDR2-1000 ram, so I think the AM2 CPU's get higher as a the 939 socket ones. My ram setting you see at my screenshot. I have the Mushkin XP4000 rams. Mainboard is an MSI K8N Diamond Plus SE, PSU an OCZ GameXStream 700W.
Well 70°C are so hot at Windows boot, when I tried to increase voltage to 1.68V my CPU is at 47°C when Windows boots and runs for about 10 minutes, what you are using for CPU cooler? And another question, whats the different between E4 and E6 stepping? Is E6 better for overclocking?
