Well I find first of all your frame rates to be very high on a Radeon X300, cause 90 frames per second is a lot so I am guessing you have not put any details on are not much and you are playing at a low resolution? Now the GeForce 7900 GXT can reach around 50 frames a second at a resolution of 1600x1200 with most of the details enabled (high quality). You must know that the new cards will not score that much more on low resolutions and the CPU can't deliver what is needed but at higher resolutions then the GPU actually has more work but can still get high rates where your previous Radeon X300 would just die and provide 5-10 frames a second max...
