Re:Watercooling.... - 2006/04/07 23:07 they make 5 1/4 bay res's and 3.5 bay res's Res's . as far as cleaning your not goin to want to rip apart an entire water cooling set up every 3 months , as this task is only when needed . but if does come to the point of a through cleaning ( hoses res pumps blocks etc. etc. ) it not to difficult of a task for hoses you can use a coat hanger ( metal completly unravled ) with a dish rag attached to the end of it and you clean the hoses like you would with a rifle . blocks you clean use a tooth brush with some cleaning solution and clean em that way ( of coarse you will have to tear it apart ) pumps you tear them apart run hot water on round the components of the pump ( mk sure that it is completly water tight ) if not the clean with a damp rag ... its not hard just time comsuming so like i stated your not goin to want to rip apart your water cooling just to satisfy an urge ( per say ) .... to keep maintenaince of your water cooling at a minimal you should use , 1) distilled water . 2) water wetter . 3) some water dye ( these is user preference ) . 4) now i use a small amount of super antifreeze rust protectant in my water bout 2 tablespoons per 32 ounces of water or you can use a small portion of antifreeze itself again keep it round 2 tablespoons per 32 ounces of water ..... ..... Mostly water cooling isnt a exact science what works for me may not exactly work for you ...
