No; there is no easy "voltage pin" clearing of the EEPROM on board the Gainward card you have as per my Anandtech forum post. The EEPROM is the 25P05. There is possibility for a Bulk Erase instruction, but that again requires you to interface directly with the chip.

If the authors of NVFlash would remove the EEPROM compatibility check for those of us who know better, that'd be great
