Best Catalyst driver for OC'ing - 2005/11/05 19:49
I know I've read it somewhere here in the forums about the highest version of Catalyst drivers that allow overclocking but i can't seem to find that particular thread again.
The thread explained that Catalyst drivers above version 5.13? looked you out of overclocking even when using the lastest version of rivatuner and I've found this to be true. I also have installed the Rage3D Overclocker software that shows in the advanced display properties and when I set an overclock setting in there the drivers force it back to default clock speeds. Default speeds are Core: 303.75, Mem; 195.75
Also trying the lastest version of the ATI tool won't hold any overclock settings.
Doing all this on a Built By ATI Radeon AIW 9600-128 megs card running 128 bit memory. Running driver version is 6.14.10.6404.
