Enabling second head on X300SE... - 2005/05/25 14:17
Hi everybody!
I just got a Sapphire Radeon X300SE to be able to use two monitor on my PC (a NEC Powermate ML7 Slim with an integrated Intel i915 GPU). But, the two GPUs won't work together.
So I'm looking for the mod to add the second head on the Rzdeon card, the PCB has the places for the plug since it seems to be used for the X300 version (two head, different memory chips). I have to add a chip (probably buffers for the video) the second VGA plug on a cable and link correctly the matrix selection for the head mod (probably the same settings as for the first head). This is the chip which cause me the most trouble as I don't know its ref...
So has anybody already tried this mod? If no, could someone provide me with the photo (hi-res please) of both side of a Sapphire X300 card (low profile design as seen on their website).
