Your able to view the desktop with the monitor plugged into this card? Sounds like then the card is working fine just your ATI driver is on the fritz. I had this problem when flashing my X800XTPE with the X850XTPE AGP bios here @ mvktech.net but reinstalling the revised 5.2 and 5.3's would show the card as X850XTPE.
