Power short: ATI Radeon 9700 PRO... - 2005/02/07 16:54
I just bought a Soltek-SL-K8AV2-RL with AMD 64 3200+. I Love this new setup. It really out paces my ASUS A78N8X Deluxe. The VGA slot on this board powers the ATI fan, but the card requires to be plugged into the PC power supply. When I do, the power just flashes once and the board is dead.
Of course if I don't, ATI won't allow the PC to boot. Is there any help for this? I've tried rerouting the wiring on the card; no help there. I'll have to just lose the ATI if there isn't and it was expensive!
