"nvflash -p -u -f file.rom"
Then it just scrolls the help file and does nothing, should I use the other methods?

nvFlash v5.xx Flash Commands
"nvflash -5 -6 newbios.rom" - Normal flash command
"nvflash -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom" - Forced flash command

Did you already contact XFX Support? If not please do soe and explain your issue and ask if they have a BIOS update to fix this... If they are any good they will do that for you.

If you can't get any answer let me know then I will try to to it my way... And see if XFX Support is willing to do something for us.

XFX Support is the worse I've seen, I made a complaint 2 weeks ago and still havent got an answer, in their forums no admin has made a post in over 2 years and they dont respond to e-mail support so im really tempted to just return this and never buy xfx again in my life, they answered one person's e-mail though, they said to turn off fast writes on bios( which doesnt help) upgrade psu to 400W (LOL!) and put max frames to render ahead to 0 in driver panel. none of this helps, people spending 100$ in a new psu and same problem still. im very disapointed in this whole matter. should have returned the card as soon as i found that the drivers in the cd didnt work cuz of my mobo being a SiS

My mobo is SIS too, and 71.25 drivers solved my problems!
What mobo is yours?
Perhaps you should contact the mobo support too. Or upgrade your mobo BIOS.

Re:Does the Rev.02 BIOS fix the XFX 6600GT? - 2005/02/06 14:43 well i have an asus p4s533 sis 646 chipset, latest agp 1.19a driver , latest bios too 1010c. and im am using the 71.25 nvidia driver, im pretty sure its a bad card, any thoughts of what brand should i get instead of xfx? they seem to have alot of RMA's i better go with a more friendly company, these guys just care about the $$$

Re:Does the Rev.02 BIOS fix the XFX 6600GT? - 2005/02/06 19:49 Well I have looked at your BIOS file with an hex editor, and it is indeed the REV 01 BIOS/Card. Mine is the REV 03 Card!

Does your card has the updated cooler? The plated one? If it doesn´t than it is definitelly the REV 01 Card.

E-mail XFX support again. If you tell them that you will RMA your card and get another brand and will never buy XFX anymore. I am sure they will give you an answer soon. And tell them that their support sucks too!

When e-mailing them, give them detailed information about your system. Also tell them everything you already tried. If you didn´t so already! If you did than stick with the above!
