Re:Windows NVIDIA BIOS Backup/Flash Tool... - 2005/02/03 22:42 Sorry folks, it didn't work for me either. Got a Leadtek 6800LE @ Asus GT AGP...

Re:Windows NVIDIA BIOS Backup/Flash Tool... - 2005/02/03 22:46 No, the Live Update works, not the flashing tool.
The old version starts but fails to read the BIOS, the new version simply crashes. Of course on my XFX I have a XFX BIOS.

Well I think it would have worked if you would still had the stock/original Leadtek BIOS on it, cause this is a Leadtek Tool...

So you mean that when you do the Live Update you just get the new Leadtek BIOS, but it doesn't flash your card immediatly to it? It that correct?

Re:Windows NVIDIA BIOS Backup/Flash Tool... - 2005/02/04 00:22 No, for Live Update I mean the update of the program, WinFox, not the upgrade of the BIOS. You can get the lastest version of WinFox only with the Live Update, it's not on the Leadtek FTP.

So you can get a newer version of the flash utility, but it crashes on my system.

Okay, now I get it. I am doing that now. I will then see if that changes something...

Re:Windows NVIDIA BIOS Backup/Flash Tool... - 2005/02/04 03:15 What we need is a new version of Ray Adams X-BIOS Editor, to support GeForce 6 Series.

Yep thats what it was called! For the life of me I couldn't remember its name, altho I did remember it came from X-BIOS.

An incorporated NiBiTor function would obviously be simplest and best for everyone, but I'm pretty sure the "NiBiTor todo list" must be getting rather long these days. Lets just hope they have an easy time implementing the new coding.

Well you don't need that as NiBiTor will soon be able to do more then X-BIOS Editor was able to do. I never really liked it anyway it was to limited on overclocking... And X-BIOS Editor only works great on GeForce 4 Series. After that it is not longer fully supporting the new cards.
