Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/01/26 00:19 Well I think I can't softmod it but if I try to flash with another 9800SE BIOS for example? I found a GeCube 9800SE 128MB 256bit with Samsung memory. I want to know if this flash is safe or not? Is there is a BIOS tester for ATI just like VGABIOS for NVIDIA?

Before I flash it with this BIOS I will try onother softmod and if it doesn't work that's ok...

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/01/28 18:49 Can I change the core and the memory voltage with a BIOS editor just like NVIDIA and can I use a CPU cooler for the GPU? And how can I fix on it here in Romania the VGA Silencer is more expensive...

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/01/28 19:19 You can try with RaBiT to adjust the core and memory speeds of your Original BIOS. Voltage modding is not possible via the ATI BIOSes. So if you want to voltmod it will be a hardmod...

You want to put a CPU cooler on it? Well how you do that is up to you, I know some have done that but how and what is involved... I have no clue.

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/01/28 19:44 Well thanks, but it will be much bether than the stock cooling no?

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/01/28 20:04 Well that depends on how good you are in making sure the cooler has good contact with the GPU... I would go for a VGA Silencer if you need more cooling. But even then the increase in performance will not be that much on these cards.

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/01/31 19:30 I have a question if I flash the card with a 9800PRO BIOS with the same memory type could I damage the card and with the new cooling I can get 470MHz for GPU and if I flash with a 9800SE BIOS to set the new speeds and I want another 9800SE BIOS... Help!

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/02/02 23:23 I have test the VGABIOS and it works. Now I want to flash but it gives an error like this... Block protect not disabled status=0e, and I tried to flash with original BIOS but was edited with RaBiT for higher speeds...
