Club 3D Radeon 9800 Pro Noob question - 2005/01/19 20:22 Hi folks

I´m new here and have some questions about my Club 3D 9800 Pro 128MB.
I´ve read in a german magazin that itz possible to flash the card with a better bios than the standard bios. But i don´t know how. I looked here and found 2 bios for my card Samsung and Hynix. I looked at my card and found Hy***** on the Ram means thats Hynix Ram?
I read here a little bit and found a thread that it is possible to flash the 9800Pro to 9800 XT. Where can i find the Bios and how do i test my card the bios will work?
How can i save my bios?
If i have saved it i can upload it that is no problem

Re:Club 3D Radeon 9800 Pro Noob question - 2005/01/19 20:27 guck mal unter ati tools sollte ein ati flashtool sein.. dafür musst du meist im realen dos modus starten .. also am besten ne bootdisk erstellen. wie genau das backup beim ati tools geht weiss ich ned.. ruf unter dos das tool einfach mal auf und guck ob da steht wie man n backup machen.. z.b. atiflashtool -b backup.rom oder sowas.. ob der flash hinterher funzt merkst du ob du grafikfehler im 3d betrieb bekommst.. wenn das nicht der fall ist und du mehr speed hast scheint das flashen geglückt

I´m totally new
i´ve downloaded the FlashROMv240 can u tell me the parameters for the flashrom.exe? I haven´t found any tutorial or something like that and the readme is very difficult for me.

So i looked and looked and found this in HIS Bios HISR9800XT128MBHynix-Rev01
should that work on the Club 3D Card or will it damage it?
What are the Ram Dac of the 9800 XT i can test it on my card?

Then first try how high you can overclock your card and then we can see if you are able to make a XT out of your PRO...

du kannst auch dein normales bios modden.. frag mich aber nich welchen takt ne XT hat.. einfach mal googlen.. dann wird die zwar noch als PRO angezeigt aber läuft wie ne XT.. Rabit heisst der BIOS editor .

The ram in ramdac stores the color data or color mapping and dac's usually control the rgb photoguns.
