Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/29 03:12 As XPS GT555M is integrated, you need someone to help you extract the vbios from main board bios.

Then modify the vbios, and reemerge it to MB bios.

Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/29 08:43 Hello,
i have the same problem for my XPS 17 (L702x)
I tried to extract the bios with nvflash but it didn't work, i had an EEPROM error.
Is there any other way to extract it ?

Thanks !

Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/29 08:58 As already mentioned just before your post, your GeForce GT 555M's BIOS will be integrated with the mainboard BIOS and as such you will need to get that one, and extract from their the vidoe BIOS. There are some tools available to do that action, though the reintegration afterwards is a bit more tricky. You can Google about that to find more information.

Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/29 12:06 Once you get the backup BIOS of your GeForce GT 555M we can tweak it for you unless we release NiBiTor within the near future. Though we encountered some set back and need to revisit some coding that was corrupted after a hardware crash.

Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/29 16:53 Hi!
I download on dell support. bios exe file L702X_A12.exe , and unpack for
Universal Extractor . ( 3rd options ( other install than Install Shield ) 1st nad 2nd options make crash . )
Then i open folder of unpack bios i see this :

next on .rsrc folder i have this :

In folder 1024 I have folder RCDATA , and next in :

In others folder its DIALOG ,GRUOP_ICON , ICON , MANIFEST, BITMAP ,CURSOR , VERSION , and etc folders with 1kb file or pictures.

Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/30 09:26 Sorry but I don't get what you are doing really, as we said the video BIOS is encapsulated in the mainboard BIOS and the mainboard BIOS is a single file. What you have done is unpacking the application file that Dell makes to flash automatically a new BIOS and that will hold more to just do that. What you need to get is the mainboard BIOS first and within that one file there is a small part that is the video BIOS itself. And to extract that small part there are special tools depening on the BIOS manufacturer.

Re:GT555m xps l702x - 2011/11/30 22:31 Thanks, and I just checked your BIOS out and can confirm that a change in voltage is possible. Currently the 3D performance mode is running at 0.8625V and there are actually two higher voltages available being 0.9125V and 1.000V. If you let us know what you want in terms of tweaking we can do some changes.
