ASUS n55sf 555m gt voltage overclock - 2011/11/13 23:48 Hi guys!
i just wanted to oc my 555m gt a bit and i'm at:
800
1600
955
I ran 3dmark it runs really smooth at 70-75º, the problem is when i go ply assassin's creed for example the temps are still 75-78 but the game just freezes for a bit and then i check my gpu clocks and they are reseted, no OC at all! = (

I think the main reason is my voltage that is stock but i cant change it with afterburner even if i "unlock" on settings, im really inexperience at bios flash and i would rlly love some help= (
I've seen the same gpu but on the dell M14x, i don't think i can use it really don't know any help i would be grateful

Re:ASUS n55sf 555m gt voltage overclock - 2011/11/14 21:00 It's in your system bios, you have to unpack your bios, find your vbios within that and post that. Any modified file would then have to placed into the system bios files and repackaged.

Its an AMI bios btw

I took a quick look at the VBIOS, but I'm not 100% whether I found the proper entries... Mavke has much more experience

Anyway, here's the BIOS module which contains the VBIOS. The VBIOS begins at offset 39EED..

Checked the rom and the vbios begins at 39E16 with the starting strings 55AA.

I've extracted it and done the overvolting mod.

Here are the stock 0.8625v vbios and modified 0.9125v vbios.

Your turn to reemerge it now.
