Howto tweak Fermi clocks using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/11 12:18 Hello, can somebody explain to me how I change my 3D Fermi clocks using NiBiTor and what you need to pay attention to. And what other clocks can be changed as well as voltages for that matter? Just wondering as didn't find that much information around this.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/12 10:42 Well we detailed the clock domains a few time already on our forums, so I am just reposting one of my previous messages. Just to explain the Fermi works with the shader clock and the core clock is always half the shader. So when you look at the clock domains you will see that the last one is always the highest clocked and that is indeed the one to tweak since this is the 3D performance mode. Now you will see several fields and the shader clock is located in the 4th box and the memory clock on the 6th box. Next to that there are some other clock settings like what we call boosted shader clock.

As indicated above the different clock speeds with the red entry the actual shader clock, and the blue entry being the boosted shader clock, which you can see somehow as the old geometric delta that was used on the GeForce 7 series. What you need to take into account is, that when you increase the shader clock, you need to increase at the same ratio this boosted shader clock. Meaning in the above case if you want to go to 900MHz core, that is 1800MHz shader and as such keeping the same ratio as the default clock means 1889MHz for the boosted shader clock speed.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/12 20:24 Thanks for the answers. Can you guys actually modify or tweak my own original BIOS if I give you the clock speeds that I would like? That way I am certain that all is done accordingly by an expert.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/12 21:19 Yes, we can modify your original BIOS if you provide us a copy and you tell us which clock speeds you want, taking into account that you tried those higher clocks first through software so that you are certain that they work. Just get us your original BIOS, by attaching it on this thread and the clock you want us to set in the tweaked version.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/13 10:36 Hereby the BIOS on which I have changed the voltages, you have just to put in the clock speeds. I would like the core to run at 1005MHz and the memory at 4540MHz. These are stable clocks on my card GeForce GTX 560, thanks for help.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/13 11:02 Sorry, we don't tweak any already modified BIOS's as we don't know what you have done and if you have done the change as required. As we do quality tweaks, we only work with the original BIOS which has been unaltered and you always make other changes to it yourself or ask immediately all changes you require.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/13 11:14 Aaah, okay no problem. I am now posting up my orginal BIOS as reference for you to tweak according to my previous message with the clock speeds as provided.

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/13 22:11 Okay, so I checked the tweaked version you first uploaded just to see what voltage you selected and I have now done the same tweak on the voltage combined with the request for the clock speeds as you requested, which we find a quite high voltage but if you can keep the card running cool, it should be fine.
MSI GeForce GTX 560 Twin Frozr OC 1005MHz Version
- Core : 1005MHz (2010MHz Shaders)
- Memory : 4540MHz
- Voltages : 1.0750V - 1.1500V
- Max Voltage : 1.2125V

Re:Howto tweak Fermi clock speeds using your NiBiTor software? - 2011/09/14 07:35 Cool, if you get those temps under full load then you should be fine to run the card at those speeds. And those are great clock speeds when you can say that you can go higher than 1GHz. Let us know how the BIOS works, and if you need any extra tweaking just let us know.
