Re:GeForce GTX 485M benchmark tweaking and just general fun? - 2011/06/21 12:35
The GeForce GTX 485M's aren't the problem, its the CPU overclock thats a bit iffy because it seems like Clevo have built in a block either in the BIOS or the hardware, so I can't move the clock multiplier that are normaly unlocked on these extreme CPU versions. Now I'm playing with the clock multiplier and as you know a lot of other factors get thrown in. I can get the overclock at 3.90GHz to run a full day of benching even Prime95 but next day it almost won't run at 3.80GHz.
And I have good system memory, being HyperX 1600MHz but I have seen people getting better overclock with two sticks of this memory than with three stick of 4GB. So this is the reason I haven't done more benches, this one is the latest.
