Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/19 16:22 Possibly yes, must have been both. I will see what's the best option, I think I try for now the stock clocks and voltages at the 1.013V. How about lower clocks cause I don't mind to loose some as long as I get decent voltage. Mmm, the BIOS that I am using is from the downloads section for my model, the voltage is 0.975V, would this be enough to run 780MHz overclocked speed? Thanks.

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/19 16:39 For a decent quality GeForce GTX 570 graphics chip the default voltage should work, meaning that 0.975V could be possible, but Gigabyte is right to bump it a little as the quality between the chips isn't always the same and with higher clocks you either need a high quality chip or a slight bump in voltage.

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/20 04:17 I have seen in the system info of Futuremark that the 3.3V does power the PCI and PCI Express slots so it might have been a chance that it switched off the slots by not having sufficient power. However, last night plugged my other power supply in and wanted to run 3DMark Vantage but it stopped and the CPU and IOH voltage dropped too for a second, so it seems I still have a power issue with my room not related to my hardware. It's very frustrating but the engineer here will fix me a new power line to my room directly off the main breaker.

I measured the voltages too 229V-233V from the power socket, the ampere I could not test. Let's see today, and in the meanwhile I reduced all to stock voltage and clocks as I'm afraid to burn the GF110. It's all okay with those stocks and voltage. And if yes, then I can flash it with a stock GeForce GTX 570 version BIOS as well, but need some benching and testing too.

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/21 04:09 Hi mate, looking good so far. I assume it has to do with my cabling, the 24-pin ATX goes to two more extensions and when I directly connect it to the mainboard it's working. Also I installed the AI Suite software which gives me incorrect readings from the mainboard and it was a big mistake to install it, that why I was concerned but in fact there has not been a problem at all, my original power supply is working and I have directly plugged it in in the new wall socket made last night.

So this is also an issue and my computer goes through direct connection without any voltage protector adapter in between. My BIOS shows all readings normal in regards to voltages, however my stock and voltage is back to stock overclock from factory with latest BIOS release. I will see whether I need to downclock it or change voltage it since it's at 1.025V to 1.038V running now. Thanks.

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/21 11:03 Good, thanks for the update and indeed a good power connection which is stable and can handle your power supply, which you mentioned earlier to be of 1000W is essential. You need a good power which isn't split in too many lines to get that power supply going with sufficient current level to keep all the parts going as required. In my new house I made sure to have several direct lines depending on the room just to be sure.

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/21 11:56 exactly. i have three new power lines on a 40ampere secure switch from the breaker which is ample of power provided.
the reason i believe was the over- under voltage adapter between them which cant hold the power so it should work now.
also one of the atx extension is loose so that must have been an issue too, cheers mate

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/22 13:43 Good, I am glad you figured that out and indeed with the current computers and hardware, a good power supply is a much but if the actual power connection in your place can't power them as they should you are stuck as well. Decent power lines are required with enough amps and stability. Enjoy your new power lines and GeForce GTX 570.

Re:GeForce GTX 570 shows great overclocks of 875MHz or more? - 2011/05/23 08:10 Now a problem I still have after adding a separate power line and using an UPS in between is that the screen goes blank but the computer is running. This normally indicates a problem with the graphics card isn't it?

Euh, I would have to say no as we have seen before it wasn't at all the graphics card being the cause of the blank screen. Yes, it does more often be due to the graphics card but it really depends. Now I don't use an UPS at all and I was now wondering was it happening before also with having put one in between?

Okay, well I bumped the voltage by some steps in the voltage domain settings which should normally be sufficient. Of course if you still have some issues, we can increase an extra step. Just let us know how this one works?
