And it was because the card didn't get enough voltage, so Mavke bumped my voltage and then it ran great. So try to bump the voltage for 3D to a bit higher but don't change the clocks and see what that gives.
Indeed, this is also something to consider and perhaps to check out before you start removing the cooling solution, to actually bump the voltage slightly and see what it gives. Yours actually runs currently at 1.03V while you can increase this to 1.05V and see if that makes any difference. Some GeForce GTX 295's even come standard set at 1.05V which might just do the trick.

By the way are you sure your power supply is giving enough power to the card because that would show up as the same as if the voltage setting isn't high enough. When you bump it then run extreme settings again.
Once again, another great point which I normally raise each time as well which is the power supply you are using. For some reason I must have missed to ask, I guess to much other stuff ongoing at the same time lately but indeed the power supply should be a decent one to keep up the power needs for this quite power hungry graphics card. Which one do you got in your system?

Re:GeForce GTX 295 not working well and could consider baking? - 2011/05/01 01:24 Thanks for everyone input. The power supply which I have is the Cooler Master Silent Pro M850 version. And I did list all my specs in the first post.

Re:GeForce GTX 295 not working well and could consider baking? - 2011/05/01 06:55 I don't really know much about desktop power supplies but it looks good. I would try just bumping the voltage on both GPU's via the BIOS and see if that make a difference.

Would I be doing it via RivaTuner or somehow through Afterburner, would that suffice? Or what should be done to bump the voltage for the GPU's on this GeForce GTX 295?

Re:GeForce GTX 295 not working well and could consider baking? - 2011/05/01 12:00 Okay, I downloaded the BIOS's which you uploaded before and made the voltage changes to giove 1.05V for both GPU's. So if you can try these to see if that makes any difference?

Okay, good seems to have forgotten too look back at the first post but I can confirm that your power supply is good enough since it can give up to 66Amps on the 12V rail and that is quite good. Mine gives less and could also handle the GeForce GTX 295 graphics card. So that won't be the issue.

Sorry but I would only recommend to go first of all to 1.05V only and the BIOS's did also had increase low 3D voltage which is not something we recommend, since that will boost the temps when low 3D mode is invokes when at full 3D the card is getting too hot. To be safe I have updated the voltage tweak you made and we want to first see what 1.05V does.

Re:GeForce GTX 295 not working well and could consider baking? - 2011/05/01 21:30 Hmmm, so which BIOS should I be using? And Mavke, were you supposed to upload one? Cause I am getting a bit confused with what you mentioned.

Re:GeForce GTX 295 not working well and could consider baking? - 2011/05/01 21:45 I have changed the one that was added, that way there is only the good one. So I changed the originally uploaded one with the correct one with only the full 3D mode set at 1.05V. You can use what is present as such. And let us know if it made any difference. Sorry if I wasn't as clear as I could be.

Re:GeForce GTX 295 not working well and could consider baking? - 2011/05/01 22:25 Okay mate, I did it only because I helped a couple of friends out and their cards didn't respond much to just upping the power 3D mode but gave a much higher response after changing the low 3D as well but these cards were GeForce GTX 280's.
