Re:NiBiTor for GTX 560Ti - 2011/11/10 17:51 I successfully flashed the bios on the card but GPU-Z still reports my voltage as being 1.038 V and the voltage is still locked in afterburner.

Re:NiBiTor for GTX 560Ti - 2011/11/10 21:30 Do you have any other suggestions/thoughts given the current results? I flashed twice now using the bios you provided and still I cannot see any difference in GPU-Z and the voltage is still locked in afterburner.
The second flash I even tried nvflash --protectionoff to remove any protection that may be present.

I received the flash successful message on both occassions but nothing appears to have changed. I still have no access to the voltage control

I tried running the core clock a bit higher to do a check to see if the voltage had in fact been changed but the overclock was unsuccessful so I can only assume that the bios did not flash correctly?.

Re:NiBiTor for GTX 560Ti - 2011/11/11 10:07 Well, I don't know if your flash is done as it should or not because you are the only one stating that the tweaks done don't have any effect while the past few days we have done similar tweaks for others and it work fine. Either the flash didn't go through as it should, or the software is not picking up the new values. Are you using a bootable Dos media to perform the flash, using nvFlash?

Re:NiBiTor for GTX 560Ti - 2011/11/11 10:19 Perhaps it is a software thing but yes, I am using NVflash from a bootable usb stick. On both occassions the flash was report as successful by NVflash, but when I go into windows my voltage is still running at 1.038 V (in GPU-Z sensors section)

And also the voltage is still locked in afterburner? Perhaps the voltage still being locked in Afterburner is a driver issue (because I am using the latest Drivers for Battlefield). I also tried overclocking (because you mentioned you tweaked the voltage to be higher) but it was still crashing at 900 Mhz.....strange!

Happy Monday With regards to the tweaks you made? How did you make these tweaks? was it something you did using your tool (NiBiTor) ? If so how did you get the tool to recognise the bios type? I know you can seelct a 'similar' type from the drop down list and get it to rescan the bios?

If this is all you did then I have no issues doing this myself for the future. I have read that in NibiTor there is a setting in the Voltage table editor that allows you to set the number of entries, and when set to 0, unlocks the voltage?

Any info would be a help

Re:NiBiTor for GTX 560Ti - 2011/11/14 13:48 Yes, we done the tweak using the same logics that is within the NiBiTor software but we used the raw program as we added the device ID first. And no, that stuff is not available for anyone and we only make versions public with the fully finished coding. The voltage table editor won't unlock the voltage as the voltage is controlled by the voltage domain. So, yes with old series it could unlock a certain voltage level but never unlock whatever even though some seem to think it does but that are fairytales.

Re:NiBiTor for GTX 560Ti - 2012/01/20 12:59 It's been a while since I have visited this issue so I thought i'd just ask for some advice. Have you had any similar issues where you have tweaked this card but still had it crashing at low clock speeds?

What I typically get is, during a game I will get a black screen and a windows error saying the graphics driver crashed but recovered; then windows will re-appear. This is when I try anything above 850 Mhz really. After this crash, the clock speeds etc are reverted to the default speeds on windows boot.

Is it possible that there is something else on the card that is restricting my access to the coltage control? It just seems really strange that I cannot get anywhere near 900 Mhz (especially when I have heard people have OC'd this card to over a 1Ghz)

Thanks again for you support
