GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/01/31 22:35 As we offered tweaking for the other GeForce GTX 5x0 cards released earlier we want to do the same for the owners of the new GeForce GTX 560 Ti and as such we already gathered feedback from a person who has done some testing with us. Yes, we reach around 1GHz core clock speed and as such we are looking forward to some tweaking and overclocking with all who have such a graphics card, including voltage and fan speed updates upon your request with your defined settings.

3DMark Vantage Overclocking...
- 820/4000MHz = X9070

3DMark 2011 Overclocking...
- 820/4000MHz = P3636
- 850/4000MHz = P3714
- 900/4000MHz = P3865
- 975/4000MHz = P4087 (higher voltage)
- 1000/4000MHz = P4165 (higher voltage)
- 1000/4600MHz = P4289 (higher voltage)

If you own a GeForce GTX 560 Ti and would like to enjoy some higher performance, we can unlock the fan speed as well as the core voltage. Or we can can just tweak according to your needs. For those who would like to do their own BIOS tweaking can you use the ChipIn button and make a donation to receive the exclusive NiBiTor version which supports these cards already.

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/01 21:38 Well since I guess nobody would like to take the first step we will be sharing one BIOS that works very well, but is just slightly overclocked on both the core and memory. And as extra we have unlocked the maximum voltage on it, so that you can all use Afterburner to overclock and play with the voltage to find the maximum overclocking.

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/02 19:59 Hi there, I'm totally new to the idea of flashing a graphics card BIOS but after reading these forums, I'm led to suggest I could unlock the max speed of my new GeForce GTX 560's? Probably worth mentioning that I have two identical cards, would both cards have to be flashed at the same time? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Welcome, and you can indeed flash each card individually as you can use the command to flash by index. Now be sure you know which index is which card so you know which one you are flashing, cause also the SLI chipset will be listed as device when flashing with nvFlash. And yes we moved your message under this thread cause indeed you can unlock the full fan speed and we would be keen to receive your original BIOS and we could tweak it for you to your likings.

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/02 22:13 Hi, thanks for the quick response. Attached is the BIOS from my new cards. For reference, the cards are the Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti OC edition. Currently, the max speed is 75%, and I would very much like 100% if possible. Am I right in thinking when I flash the cards, the two commands I will need to input into nvFlash are as below? Thanks again.
"nvflash --index=1 -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom"
"nvflash --index=2 -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom"
Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti Fermi OverClock Edition
- Memory : 1024MB
- Bus Type : PCI Express

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/02 23:04 First of all the BIOS you attached is a bit too big actually, about 3kb really which is fully will all the same data. Since we have an official tool that can fix this and interprete the BIOS header to know where it end, we did fix the BIOS. Now attached is your BIOS but with the fan speed unlocked too- 100% as you requested. To find the correct index use the listing command first to be sure which is which, and to make sure you aren't flashing the SLI bridge.

nvFlash v5.xx Commands...
"nvflash --list" (Provide Listing of Graphics Devices)
"nvflash -i1 -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom (Force Flashing #1 Device)
"nvflash -i2 -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom (Force Flashing #2 Device)

- Memory : 4010MHz
- Fan Speed : 40 - 100%

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/03 01:54 Great stuff, I can't thank you enough, it did the trick perfectly. Got my cards now running at 1.037V with the clocks set at 920/4200MHz. Why the hell did Zotac lock the fan speed though? It seems so stupid. Oh, check your ChipIn too, my way of saying thanks.

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/03 08:49 Euh, sorry to correct you but it is not Zotac that lock the fan speed as all manufacturers need to use the NVIDIA settings and BIOS's that they receive and they need actually approval for any changes they make, and typically what they change is rather the clock speeds. And the fan speed on all Fermi based cards seem to always set lower as it seems to be sufficient and that keeps the noise down.

Good that you are happy, and hoping some more persons would like to get some tweaks done. By the way, we could also modify your BIOS with the clock speeds, so that you no longer need to use Afterburner for running at those speeds, and increase the voltage on the 3D performance. Just let us know and we will tweak it for you.

Re:GeForce GTX 560 Ti could reach 1GHz overclocking but more? - 2011/02/05 00:53 I will be dumping my MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr OC edition card this weekend and will post it for general use, then will start tweaking it with NiBiTor. Have some fairly stable overclocks that I will try in the BIOS and post those too.
