NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/01/25 23:29 As promised we would release with a new version of NiBiTor today, and we actually did take a bit of time due to rather low participation throughout the past year on donations. We did get your feedback and some newer BIOS's submitted and we have a new update to add extra support, also with full support for the newer GeForce GTX 5x0 series video cards. And for any features or things you would like to see, let us know and we will see what is possible and/or feasible in a next update going forward.

NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 Software

For those who are having some of those newer Fermi based GeForce GTX 560 graphics cards and are looking for tweaking clock speed, voltages and fan speed, this is available after a donation through the ChipIn module. And don't forget that all the development is only feasible due to your contributions. As always please provide your feedback, so we can make it better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get better support in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/01/26 03:12 Help, I have downloaded the program, but everything is grayed out and I can't change anything. Not grayed out is advance info, fan speed and boot settings. Also Palit isn't on the vendor list. Trying this on Windows 7 64-bit with Palit GeForce GTX 570 Platinum. Have also an EVGA BIOS and it doesn’t work too.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/01/26 05:07 Before the owner answers you, I think it may be because since it's a Fermi based card you will have to make your tweaks through the Fermi voltage and Fermi clocks tweak buttons under the tools from the menu in the software.

Thanks for the message, but as a newcomer to a forum wouldn't it be normal to read a little before posting? Sorry but I find that natural and if you did you would know that we explained several times that the Fermi based graphics cards, which are all cards since the GeForce GTX 480 was released don't use the simple clock and voltage settings, but now use clock and voltage domains.

This is fully supported by going in the tools from the menu and use the Fermi clocks and voltages to tweak accordingly. And there is no Palit in the vendor list since Palit hasn't got a vendor ID requested for whatever reason and really that ID has no real value as it is just a static number. Now can you also do us a favor and attach your original Palit and EVGA BIOS's on this thread?

That is fully correct, and I would think that those who buy a new graphics card and actually want to start tweaking that they would at least check what the technology is behind and what is powering their graphics card? Cause if we all start just tweaking whatever without knowing what you are doing, than you better stop right now as you will end up with a bricked graphics card and your warranty won't apply. So a very simple suggestion before you start tweaking, read and learn first about the technology there is enough information around and once you know that it will be much easier to understand what you are tweaking.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/01/26 09:42 Sorry for being a noob. I was reading in Google search and that's what was posted show to use was in NiBiTor v5.9 which this isn't the case. I also tried to upload my BIOS through the forums as requested. I went back and read those guides and it does show what you said. Totally sorry!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/02/04 02:52 No love for the GeForce GTX 460 SE in this version? It's the same BIOS structure just different device ID really. Or am I missing something? Or is this coming in the forthcoming release?

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/02/04 18:32 Hehe, well the problem is that we finish a next release when we make one available and by that time nobody shared a GeForce GTX 460 SE version BIOS with us hence we could not code the support. But the next exclusive version has the full support already, so just make a donation and you will get that next version and you can tweak all you like.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/02/08 13:39 As we received quite a few questions on missing support of certain graphics cards, especially the notebook versions, I would like to educate you all that we can only code the support if you shared with us the original BIOS of the graphics device in question. So for those who has a graphics device that is not yet support, please just backup the original BIOS and attach it on this thread with the details and we will see to get the support adding in a new version.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v6.0 software and give feedback? - 2011/02/08 19:25 Sorry if this is a question you get a lot, but I donated before I signed up for the forums. Is is still possible to get the newest version of the NiBiTor software? I'm going to try to update my GeForce GTX 460 with a GeForce GTX 560 BIOS, just to see if it will work but I will need to edit the BIOS a bit to do it I think. I just want to see what will happen.
