Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/23 22:18 Is 1.213v the max the GTX 580 can be unlocked to?

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/24 00:34 Yes, through the BIOS you can unlock max 1.213V for both the GeForce GTX 570 and the GeForce GTX 580 graphics cards. If you want to go any higher you will need to do a hardware modification, which is not something we are into. But if you do, we are certainly keen to know how far you can take the GeForce GTX 580 through overclocking at higher voltage.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/24 01:00 Okay, that sucks. Also, the newest version with GeForce GTX 580 support, it will let me open the file but I can't edit anything since all of the fields are blank. Is this right? Yes, I have got the newest exclusive version.

Euh well we can't do anything about the max voltage as that is how the design of NVIDIA is done, and they have to somehow set a certain maximum. About NiBiTor, I am guessing you have somehow never used a version with Fermi support? Since the Fermi doesn't use simple clock speeds and voltages, but is using domains you need to use the two new options under the tools tab which allow you to tweak the Fermi clock speed and voltages. This is no different and in use since several versions now.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/24 13:22 Aha thanks. I haven't used it since my 8800GTX so that may explain why.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/25 10:20 Hi, I have a Gigabyte GTX580 , I made a donation a cuople of days ago and received nibitor 6.0. I can change fan speed to 100% but it does not let me change clock speeds and memory timing for core and memory. What I would like to set is core at 830mhz and memory 4200. I have also tryied several bios whit similar settings downloaded from your site like evga palit or pny but none of those is compatible. There is also a bios gigabyte gtx580 900mhz but I am not liquid cooled so that would be risky. I will submit my original bios, hope you can help me.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/25 13:52 We have explained it several times before, but the way it works for the Fermi based graphics cards is via clock and voltage domains, and no longer via the standard simple clock speeds and voltage settings. And NiBiTor fully supports that since several versions, just use the tools tab and you will find the Fermi options under it to change the clock and voltage domain. If you don't feel confident we can make the tweaks for you, but since you got the exclusive version which supports your GeForce GTX 580 you can try as well.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2011/01/21 14:39 Hey guys, I would like a couple changes made to my BIOS if you can? I would like the fan speed set within the range 30% to 100% and the maximum voltage unlocked to 1.213V. Cheers.
