Related to a donation, you have to make sure flash is enabled when you browse our website and than you will see on the right the ChipIn module, you hit the button to make a donation.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/20 19:28 I am having the Colorful GeForce GTX 580, and I think the sweet spot for long term usage of the GeForce GTX 580, meaning not only for benchmark is 830MHz core and memory of around 4200MHz to 4400MHz depending on the sample. Now a slight voltage tuning is required to get stable at 830MHz with the costant development of NiBiTor all of this it's possible.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/21 11:03 Thanks for the feedback, and that is certainly a nice overclock but we have seen others that can easily do 900MHz and consider that a sweetspot. So, it really depends on the chipset itself since some or better than others and that is why I like the Point of View way of doing business with TGT, which checks the cards and the once with the most overclock potential become pre-overclocked versions.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/21 16:34 True, from what I see 900MHz seems to be the sweet spot. I have managed to snatch a really really good chip here, its an ASUS GeForce GTX 580 and this card can run Unigine Heaven at 985MHz with only 1.120V with no artifacts. I had the Gainward Golden Sample that toped at 910MHz, Zotac topped out at around 955-960MHz. So far so good, and it all depends on the chip. By the way, this card has got an orange margin on the PCB, maybe another revision of PCB?

Whow, what are you a lucky person to have been able to get your hands on some many nice GeForce GTX 580 and certainly that ASUS you have got there is a hell of good one if it can overclock at 985MHz with just 1.120V. I wish that we had also enoug money to jut go out and buy some cards, but unfortunately that is only a wish. But we always like to see your story and feedback, and that we can support you all in your overclocking adventures. And thanks for the new BIOS.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/21 23:09 Thanks, I have always thought however that these companies give you some samples for testing from time to time. Shame on them, as you are a hell of a knowledgeable person and your site is famous.

Thanks for the support, but well lately I didn't have enough time to actually spend on reviewing, which takes a lot of time when you want to do it good. So a shame perhaps, but without decent review backing up their investment in a sample you won't get anything. But in a few months I might be back doing that, but for now some personal stuff takes up my time and we still want to offer you all the tweaks possible, and did put our efforts there first. Thanks for the support!

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/12/22 08:16 Hi I have a problem with my MSI GeForce GTX 580 and I need some help. I need a BIOS with voltage bumped to 1.075V because with the original 1.037V it crashes. I tested with Afterburner with this higher voltage and I have no problem. Thank you very much.

First I want to thank you for posting this four times on different threads on our forums, and that means I had to remove all the duplicates and we hate such behavior. So I hope you never do that again or we won't even care about your problem. Secondly, if your GeForce GTX 580 crashes at default clock speeds and voltage you should return the card and get a replacement cause it should work perfectly at the set speeds and voltage. Unless you are overclocking and at that point it crashes? Can you provide us some more insights?
