Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/11/20 14:46 I'm done, but may I request following BIOS's when you have time? One for daily use, being set at 840/4500MHz while running at 1.038V and one extra for optimal values being set at 870/4500MHz but with voltage at 1.075V. Thanks in advance.

Requesting two more versions if possible being 925/4200MHz and 925/4280MHz and both with 1.1255V. These have been tested good under OC Scanner for several 30 minute runs.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/11/23 00:18 And what do these modified BIOS's give you in terms of performance or every day use experience? Can you let me know, as I find this very interesting. Also has anyone already played with the fan speed on these, as we can also decrease the minimum percentage or increase the maximum. If someone would be willing to give that a try we can see when to offer the next version of NiBiTor that will support these GeForce GTX 580 graphics cards.

Re:GeForce GTX 580 some easy overclock to 900MHz and more? - 2010/11/23 01:22 Yeah, please unlock the 85% fan speed lock of this card. For games its not necessary to unlock except maybe in summer, but it is necessary for Furmark. I have taken your 865MHz BIOS and it works fine on the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 and received about 10% performance gain. I have attached Gigabyte's factory BIOS for your collection.

Sharing the results with the modified BIOS you had provided earlier and I a very nice increase in performance. So the tweaking is working great, and performance is going up which is what we are all looking for.

And I am now requesting a new BIOS that works at 910/4280MHz with 1.125V. The Unigine Heaven was able to run on Windows XP with a memory of 4500MHz, but not on Linux. Also here is the 3DMark06 benchmark result on Windows XP while running software overclock at 910/4280MHz.

Okay, what I will do later today is take your Gigabyte BIOS and unlock the maximum fan speed and set it a 100%. Just to be save would you also like one with a lower minimum fan speed, saying 30% as a minimum as the current 40%? And if you want some specific clock and/or voltage settings let me know.
