NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/07 11:50 As promised we would come soon with a new version of NiBiTor and this time we just shared without reaching our donation target. We did get your feedback and some extra BIOS's submitted and with the help of xtremetheme we have a new update to add some extra support, also with full support for the newer GeForce GTX 400 series video cards. And for any features or things you would like to see, let us know and we will see what is possible and/or feasible.

NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 Software

For those who are having some of those newer Fermi based GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards and are looking for the full support to tweak clock speed and voltages, this is available after a donation through the ChipIn module. And don't forget that all the development is only feasible due to your donations. As always please provide your feedback, that way we will be able to support you even better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get better support in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/07 17:11 Nice work, but this version does not supported my Sparkle GeForce GTX 460. May I ask, the exclusive version with GeForce GTX 460 support, can it edit the fan speed? I want to reduce only my fan from 40% to 30%.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/08 10:26 We have added what is stated, and the fan speed control is still something that we want to bring in as feature for these GeForce GTX 4x0 series. So not yet done, cause done differently than before and still trying to figure out the full details. But we do hope to bring it soon. The GeForce GTX 460's are fully support related to the domain settings with the next version.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/08 21:53 One thing extra and that would be for those who make a donation towards further development of NiBiTor which will add extra features, if you donate $25 or more you will get all next exclusive versions for at least a year. If you have been donating lower amounts but the total for the last 12 months would total as well $25 you will also be granted the same deal. So those who did donate and above $25 will receive the newest exclusive version in their mailbox.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/09 18:42 I donated one time this year, but not $25. I buy often NVIDIA and ATI cards and as such I don't need all NiBiTor versions only now I need it for my GeForce GT 460 and I only want to reduce the fan speed. If the exclusive version do that, I can donate $5. I have no interests for overclocking or voltage change.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/09 19:51 Hehe, just wanted to point that out as some might find that more interesting than just donating now and than. About the fan speed since not in the next version will be for a next one, once we have it all worked out. But I can surely keep you posted and if someone has information to share about this, please do as the more we know the faster we will ave it ready.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/09 21:02 I would like to see the advanced memory config register feature working for G73 and later graphics cards. Will this happen in the near future?

Euh, as far as I recall there was never a feature like that unless you are talking about the memory timings? And sorry but the memory timings work on the GeForce 9 series which are newer than the G73 you are refering to. So can you detail what you are looking for exactly, though do note that the memory timings for high speed memory on graphics card has almost no impact on the performance and that is why we did invest time into this since the GeForce GTX 2x0 series.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/09 22:41 Under the tools menu, you have the advanced memory config which opens a window that reveals the memory configuration register data. Using this data, I have been able to move one firmware to different cards that use the same GPU but with different memory capacities and/or configurations. This feature works in G7x and previous BIOS's. From my understanding, NVIDIA changed their BIOS architecture starting with G71, and the feature no longer works with these newer BIOS versions.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.7 software and give feedback? - 2010/08/09 23:17 Oh okay, yeah that is something that somehow gotten changed and well we had nobody wondering about it since now and frankly it would require a lot of time to go back and get this supported for the newer cards, if we can even try to figure it all out as NVIDIA is making it harder and harder to get us to figure out how the different parameters are working with each and every different graphics card.
