GeForce 9500 GT Super+ but no signal until Windows loaded? - 2010/01/07 18:05 Hi all, when I switch on my computer I don't get any display picture until the point that Windows kicks in. Everything works fine afterwards. Do you have any ideas, I have tried two different motherboards and cleaned the card connectors. The graphics card is a Palit GeForce 9500 GT Super+ passive cooled version. Thanks for any help given as I have searched around but no joy.

Re:GeForce 9500 GT Super+ but no signal until Windows loaded? - 2010/01/07 21:02 Mmm, that is a strange one, but if you can maybe backup the original BIOS of your GeForce 9500 GT we can take a look at it? Also how much memory does that graphics card have? I could think of something in the BIOS but unless I can check, we won't know for sure of course.

Re:GeForce 9500 GT Super+ but no signal until Windows loaded? - 2010/01/07 21:48 ok, I sorted it by doing the following, let me know what you think -

I edited the bios file and checked the options force adaptive scaling, skip DDC scanning and non-native panel control (the other two items were already checked.)

I then ran nvflash under a dos window in Windows 7 (couldnt do it in pure dos as I couldnt get a signal obviously with my problem)

Reboot and voila screen straight from boot up, I can now edit my bios setup etc.

You can post the graphic card bios if you wish into the correct section under Palit 9500 GT super + in case somebody needs it.

Re:GeForce 9500 GT Super+ but no signal until Windows loaded? - 2010/01/07 22:04 Good stuff, so it seems you found it yourself what was the cause of ot seeing anything during the bootup procedure but only once Windows was started. Well done, and good that you can now do what you wanted to change.
