GeForce 8800 GT fan speed and trying to tune down its noise? - 2009/12/17 20:51
Hey guys, I have got this crappy GeForce 8800 GT which is a bit noisy and I would like to lower the fan speed. Yeah, I know this is the opposite of most guys, but I hate the noise when the card's idle. I have got excellent idle temps of 48°C and load temps of 72°C. I don't care about noise when gaming, but I wouldd like the card to be quiet when idle.
I have done some research and I have found some guides and stuff, but now I have a problem. When I go to the fan speed IC options I can only choose the dynamic speed option and when I choose it, I can only change Tcrit, Thyst, Thigh, Toperating and Tlow. I can't change the minimum duty cycle or Tmin, which I believe are the ones I want to change.
