NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 software and give feedback? - 2009/07/15 19:57 As promised we would make a new version of NiBiTor available and this when the ChipIn would reach a certain value. We did get your feedback and some extra BIOS's submitted and with the help of xtremetheme we have a new update to add some extra support. This is a new release which adds extra support for several mobile graphics cards, as some GeForce GTX 200 series. And for any features or things you would like to see, let us know and we will see what is possible and/or feasible.

NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 Software

For those who are having some of those mobile GeForce GTX 200M graphics cards and are looking for the needful support, well either you wait till we got the appreciation that this tool deserves or you just donate using the ChipIn module and you will get exclusively the newest version supporting these cards. And please provide your feedback, that way we will be able to support you even better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get better support in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 software and give feedback? - 2009/07/15 21:26 Euh, as far as we know it is supported unless you have some BIOS that isn't? And in that case we can't add support to tool that fully reads the BIOS image and structure so you can tweak it without actually having such an original BIOS. So if that support is somehow missing, get us the original BIOS of that card and we will add the support in a next version.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 software and give feedback? - 2009/07/16 11:48 Euh well, since when we started to ask for some support via donations to keep the development going and nobody did care we did change our way of working and now we only release the next version once some donations have been done. So in your case NiBiTor v5.1 was already fully finished a few days after the previous version and you will need to wait till a next version. Or all of a sudden all users would finally start donating like we wanted just $1 per user and we would just be able to return to the normal way of developing, but we tried that...

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 software and give feedback? - 2009/07/16 18:04 Well seems you are lucky as the next version which is only exclusively available for all who do ChipIn does have support already for the GeForce 9600 GSO with a 256-bit memory interface. However can you also tell us which brand it is your GSO and how much memory it has?

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 software and give feedback? - 2009/07/22 20:29 Hi, a friend of mine has just purchased a new video card, it's a Leadtek WinFast GTS 250 with 1GB memory. As the card is equipped with only one 6-pin power connector, I guess it has a 55nm chip. We replaced the stock cooler today by an Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro. The fan of the L2 Pro fits into the 4-pin connector on the video card, so that fan speed is regulated by the BIOS. Everything is fine so far, unless we tried NiBiTor v5.1 to read out the BIOS and adjust the fan speed to the new cooler.

Unfortunately NiBiTor was not able to read the BIOS, although the GeForce GTS 250 is on the support list. Could the problem be the 55nm chip and is there any hope to read the BIOS with the new version? I guess we will soon send you the BIOS file, as it is not yet listed in the BIOS file section.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.1 software and give feedback? - 2009/07/23 00:19 Hi, what new opportunities are present in the new NiBiTor v5.2 program for the GeForce GTX 275 in contrast to the current version? Can you now work with changing voltages, such as with the GeForce GTX 280? Thanks.

Euh, first of all I want to say one thing which you all should know the flexible voltage tweaking is only possible when the graphics card has the Volterra voltage regulator chip which is quite expensive. This chip is only present on the 65nm based GeForce GTX 260, the GeForce GTX 280 and the dual PCB based GeForce GTX 295 cards. And there is one special GeForce GTX 275 version from Galaxy that also has this chip. All others don't have it so NiBiTor offers what is available and can't do miracles.
