Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/04/13 11:08 Well, it is as I thought your BIOS is already supported in the newest version, meaning NiBiTor v5.1 which is available exclusively after a donation for the further development of the program. So up to you use the ChipIn function and make a donation to afterwards get the newest version and enjoy tweaking your 1GB edition of the GeForce 9800M GTS.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/04/20 17:38 Well I too get the device ID unknown also. Maybe I'm in the same boat as the previous poster? My card is a Zotac GeForce 9600 GSO 1GB standard version and I posted the BIOS on the standard thread to attach your original BIOS. Thanks in advance.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/04/21 20:15 Okay, thanks for sharing these details we will look into this and see what we can do for a next version of NiBiTor, but that won't be in the already fully finished NiBiTor v5.1 version cause that one is fully finished. But we will pick it up for the one after. And the sooner some donations come in the sooner we could release the next version, since developing isn't cheap...

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/04/23 12:21 Hey mate, the new NiBiTor v5.1 works fine with the ASUS GeForce GTX 275 BIOS but if I open the Zotac GeForce GTX 275 BIOS and select voltage menu, then it shows an error message. I have posted both original BIOS's in the appropriate thread, please test it but otherwise nice work.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/04/23 19:53 Okay mate, I will look into it but not today as not feeling well. I did go to the doctor and well need to take some stuff to get better again my head seems twice as big, which is not a nice feeling. But will check I am a bit better, but the Galaxy GeForce GTX 275 BIOS worked just fine as well.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/05/01 17:00 Hey guys, I have some weird errors with NiBiTor v5.0 and my ASUS Extreme GTX 285 on Windows Vista 64-bit. I know of this software since today, so please don't be pissed if I do tell you things that you already know. When trying to read the BIOS I always get can't start driver. Scanning the BIOS gives another error. Isn't the GeForce GTX 285 supposed to be supported? I have some really strange problems with high-end OpenGL application, and I had hoped flashing to a newer BIOS might help. Any Idea what to do? Donating $1-2 for the new version would be fine too, if only that will let me fix stuff.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/05/02 07:42 Windows Vista 64-bit requires digitally signed drivers because Microsoft wants to grab as much money from developers as possible. NiBiTor does have all needful drivers but doesn't have a certificate for usage. If it was $1-2 to get Microsoft to allow a certificate then I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately they charge significantly more than that. The problem you are seeing are most likely driver related anyway.

Although being new, we do have a search on these forums and as such you would have easily been able to find as such that NiBiTor does work just fine in Windows Vista but we didn't pay for a certificate to use the new driver signing of Microsoft to get direct access to the hardward to backup the BIOS. So you backup your BIOS with whatever other program and afterwards you can just use NiBiTor to check teh BIOS out.

And that $1-2 donation is nice if all users would do that as a certificate for the driver signing is about $750-1000 a year and well don't have that as our website is not about making money. Though if there is a good soul, or better several goods souls who have some extra money and want this feature please feel free as NiBiTor is ready for it.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.0 software and give feedback? - 2009/06/12 16:39 Okay, I have sent in a GeForce GTX 275 BIOS and I have used ChipIn to send in some development dollars. Now how the heck and where do I go to get NiBiTor v5.1? I am getting tired of trying to figure this out!
