Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 software and got feedback? - 2009/03/13 12:21 As promised we would make a new version of NiBiTor available which we hope will lead to some extra donations. We did get your feedback and some extra BIOS's submitted and with the help of xtremetheme we have a new update to add some extra support. This is a new release which adds extra support for several 55nm based graphics cards in a better way, as well as some minor fixes. As such this might seem somehow a minor update, but an essential one. And for any features or things you would like to see, let us know and we will see what is possible and/or feasible.

NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 Software

For those who are having those GeForce GTX 200 series graphics card and are looking for some more dynamic voltage tweaks, well either you wait till we got the appreciation that this tool deserves or you just donate and will get exclusively the newest version with a new voltage enhancement which is available for the 65nm based GeForce GTX 260, the GeForce GTX 280 and the all new GeForce GTX 295 cards. And please provide your feedback, that way we will be able to support you even better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get better support in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 software and got feedback? - 2009/03/13 19:57 How about a nice summation of what the new NiBiTor 5.0 will be able to do and how it does it? Sell your new version to us! That way we know what to get when we do some donation.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 software and got feedback? - 2009/03/14 00:32 Well, since I already know what feature I'll be loving to death in NiBiTor v5.0, I already donated again. The NiBiTor v4.9 works great so far. There's just one strange thing I noticed with my GeForce GTX 295, fhe fan speed options for Extra, 3D, Throttle and 2D mode all show 100%. That is not accurate, for sure, so maybe it's a result of the automatic temperature based adjustments the card does? I've not tested it, but it can be set to fixed values, right? My only experience with that is driver based, made via RivaTuner.

We won't give the full details on this thread as this is about NiBiTor v4.9 so that all who have now publicly downloaded and used it can provide their input and feedback which we will take into account for the next version, well of course not the next one but the one after as NiBiTor v5.0 is already finalized. But it will certainly be looked into and picked up for the version after.

And the donation is not about getting the newest version, but should be I am donating cause I like the things you guys do with it and I want to see more of this software or just to show your appreciation for what we have done. But as an extra incentive those who donate yet a little extra preview, and those who donated $10 or more in the past, will get the exclusive new version within a day or so, just need to review all donations.

Euh yes, that is normal as the fan speed is controlled by the fan speed IC function, which is the same as what RivaTuner allows with the duty cycle and so on. And that is why the fan speed fixed entry is at 100% which is not used as the fan speed IC cotrol is overriding this, and only one BIOS controls the fan so the fan speed IC function will only show the values on one of the BIOS's of the GeForce GTX 295, the one on which the fan power is actually connected to the PCB, and you can adpat the fan speed withthat function as such.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 software and got feedback? - 2009/03/20 08:32 I got my brand new EVGA e-GeForce GTX 280 SSC edition a few days ago. I used NiBiTor v4.9 to have a look at the cards BIOS. I have not uploaded it yet because this version is already in the download section. But by using NiBiTor again I was able to modify the BIOS by setting all three voltages to the lowest possible 1.06V. Then I downloaded the Voltage Tuner and lowered the power to a stable 1.00V at default speeds of 648MHz and it works stable under games and Furmark!

I must say that I'm impressed about this very low stable voltage. So now I ChipIn another 5$ to get the newest NiBiTor v5.0. I would like to find out how low I can get and maybe increase the speed a little bit further. As I always say more for less. Thanks, NiBiTor is a great and very heplful tool!

Thanks for the update mate, and adding a donation. You will get the new exclusive version later today when I get home from work. But yes you should be able to play withthe voltage in a flexible fashion and I would just keep the Extra mode at a bit higher voltage for during games but the 2D mode can do with less.

That's exactly what I would like to try. I think a 2D voltage of 0.90V or lower, a 3D voltage of 1.00V and a little extra juice at 1.10V for Extra mode. Maybe the card can handle 702MHz at this speed. If it's possible I would then try to lower the voltage to a needed maximum for 702 MHz. If more power is needed this circle of try and error to the max begins again. Without NiBiTor this process would not be possible in that simple way.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 software and got feedback? - 2009/03/20 18:28 Good stuff mate, though it would be nice if you could post all about your tweaks in the more appropriate forums section as this thread is just about sharing your feedback on NiBiTor v4.9, or to ask fro maybe extra features if any that could be unlocked.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.9 software and got feedback? - 2009/04/06 19:23 As a new version is released of NiBiTor, please make sure you are using the latest version and that you post your findings related to that version on the corresponding thread, thank you.
