The first donate raised the funds from $215 to $275 looks great right? I am still collection money for contributing to you, keep on and just waiting of my NiBiTor v4.9 copy to unleash my GeForce GTX 285. It do overclock now to 756/2680MHz with shader at 1720MHz. Thanks heaps mate, and yes that is very nice to disable the adblocker as really that is how we can survive, by showing ads and that some visit these of course. Without those we can't really keep on running the website as this is not our job, but a hobby so all the advertising pays the hosting bills and different upgrades we just have to do to keep running this website. Nice overclocks you got there on your card!

Re:Are you using NiBiTor, than why don't you join and contribute?! - 2009/01/21 10:36Yeah, I have to come back on this as NiBiTor v4.8 was especially designed and developed for those GeForce 9M series owners and as of late the participation to the ChipIn project has been very low to almost none from that side. So why did we even do the work to get all the required support added for almost all GeForce 9M series when those guys don't even find it important afterwards to support us?

Isn't that how it always goes that those who really requested it and are actually nagging for something most of the time don't see any need to participate? I for one know that somehow that only if the need it high and they wouldn't get it unless they participate then they can sit back and relax until it finally will get released. That is how it works, they like a tool and want to get the support added but don't want to spend any penny on it. I frankly hate such attitude and find it lack of respect. Though for you guys who made the tool and this website I have the utmost respect, godo job!

And actually I am following a training at work that goes a bit about this as well. Yes I have a day job, cause this website is more like a hobby and no not about making money. All money that is generated by the ads goes into the monthly hosting costs. But indeed people will only participate when they feel a need and in the end if the can get it free and just have to wait, most will just do that. And in fact, next time we will maybe just put a cost related to support wanted? You want something supported than what value do you put against it? But somehow I doubt it will change anything... But you never know.

Re:Are you using NiBiTor, than why don't you join and contribute?! - 2009/02/01 23:01Today we release NiBiTor v4.8 as we reached the target and also the end date, now for the next version we will wait a bit due to somehow disappointed with the many users who actually wanted us to add the support for several mobile chipsets, which we have done and took a bit of effort but almost none have contributed to ChipIn module on our website. Though many did for other cards or just because they have been using it for several times now, but also quite a lot for tweaking their 55nm based GeForce GTX 200 series cards. Though the mobile users out there next time you request to get added support we will think twice before investing time and effort...

Re:Are you using NiBiTor, than why don't you join and contribute?! - 2009/02/02 00:03Sad it is when, yes there are those that provide their BIOS for both getting support added and also to enable developers to add this support, what is sad is that some have hit the ChipIn to support the project, but still get no credit, as is only a couple of the many that looked for the support actually contributed. So we get lumped with you when support and added functionality ends, it ends for us also even though we supported and chipped in. Though I have not used NiBiTor for a while, I'm tending to shy away from being too dependent on it as I fear like RaBiT interest will be lost...
I'm content now to ChipIn but leave my BIOS as is and just overclock as I see fit, eventually though this will also end as I'm slowly losing interest in banging my head on a post and is boring watching a dead horse getting beaten. Please message or email me what it cost for my next version, and I will then pay for my own copy if I need it that badly and the hell with the rest saving a few of us. I will share with those that pay me well and I send some cash over to you guys.

Re:Are you using NiBiTor, than why don't you join and contribute?! - 2009/02/02 09:08Well I am quite okay and happy that many have use the ChipIn but not those that asked for the support of the GeForce 9M series really, or just a few. So if that is how it will be than for us somehow it is a waste of effort, cause it is like wanting some but not even showing interest to get there. Just demanding, claiming things don't work, while the main thing that doesn't work it the attitude of those persons. First of all we can only add support for cards for which we have the BIOS and we will do what is needed, but when a big effort is done and just a few show afterwards interest we will think twice of what we are focussing on.
And by all means all those with the new 55nm based GeForce GTX 200 series, I can't say anything bad as they have truly made the effort to participate, using the ChipIn way and each time sharing their original BIOS's with us. So on that part I am glad that those do appreciate all the work we have done and all the feedback they have given so far on the tool but also the ChipIn way. And none did really see why it should just be a given to get a tool while a lot of effort goes into the development at each new release of some graphics card series. So thanks to all for that!

Re:Are you using NiBiTor, than why don't you join and contribute?! - 2009/02/11 21:59Since we received some mails about users and/or visitors asking how they can get the next version of NiBiTor with support for the new 55nm Based GeForce GTX 200 series, you need to ChipIn and contribute and at that point we are sending out exclusively the newest version. And if you have feedback or new features you want to see, you can tell us as well.

Re:Are you using NiBiTor, than why don't you join and contribute?! - 2009/02/22 18:56All I wanted to publicly apologize to to you guys for being impatient and any harm my comments may have caused in the ongoing donation process. I have stepped up with my donation to add some extra for the NiBiTor development. I would recommend all who uses his software to donate, without the donation it makes it hard to keep developing new versions and drives people like me to get impatient when the new version is needed. Once again sorry and thank you for being the bigger person and sending me the file I needed.
