Re:Funds raising for your RaBiT and NiBiTor development support? - 2008/10/13 21:39 Well I have found some new idea that we might give a go in the next few days, just working out some details on how and what and then you might see some new item on the site that will somehow hopefully lead to some auto funding for application releases. But it remains to be seen how the interest will be really. That all as details so far, as I am checking also with some regular readers to get some more input.

The new idea has been launched, now you need to know that we are trying this ChipIn idea out and we have set a date which is Christmas. However if we reach the set goal sooner we will release NiBiTor v4.7 as soon as that is reached. And we actually have also a next version in the pipeline.

What do I have to do to donate? I need to have my Radeon X1800 GTO overdrive clock situation fixed and am willing to fork over some cash to get it done. Let me know what I have to do. Thanks...
Well for those who really want to do something for NiBiTor you as we are no raising some development funding to thank and also keep the project going. So anything goes from just $1 to whatever you can spare, just use the ChipIn way.

The coders shall contribute to this discussion and we will find a solution. I am also willing to spend $1. Find it is a good commitment and a good deal. But the coder has to say, yes, I will do this if everyone spends some money.
Well we found a solution to show some support an appreciation in the way you can, and that is why we started a ChipIn project to raise some money and that way the new version of NiBiTor will be released. And no we won't do this for each version, but at least we are doing it now the first time more for making sure some return on investment is done for the past version of NiBiTor, so join in.

Re:Funds raising for your RaBiT and NiBiTor development support? - 2008/12/30 17:39 As already mentioned depending on the progress made for the next 24 hours we will see if we will just release NiBiTor v4.7 that has been ready for more than 2 weeks now or if we just move the date again. And yes we are more looking into the last option as the concept that each user of NiBiTor would just donate $1 didn't really fly. Up to you all to make a chance or do some effort to reach our goal. And that also means that soon after NiBiTor v4.8 will also be released. So it is really all up to you!

Well I have donated, and I am enjoying NiBiTor v4.8 which is excellent as now I can play around with the GeForce 9M series, which is just great. Thanks again and I think it is a good approach to differentiate between who donated and who didn't at least since the low participation level. Thanks again and great work!

Yeah we actually made the choice to not include all in NiBiTor v4.7 and to see what the donations would really do as we did think it might be less than we anticipated. So we only included the support for the GeForce 9M series in the next version to get an extra push for contributing to the ChipIn fund raising.

Re:Funds raising for your RaBiT and NiBiTor development support? - 2009/01/03 19:22 Excellent job. This is sure to wake up those that just frequently visit the downloads section. I'm hoping there is still developement in RaBiT as I now have a Radeon HD 4850, a Radeon HD 4870 and a Radeon HD 4870 X2 and some others and am curious to what is tweakable in their BIOS's also, and would like to continue see support for the red supporters. Merry Christmas!

Thanks mate, and I would like to also point out that for now RaBiT won't see much updates really cause the developer has other things on his mind, but you can just use RBEdit which can do all the tweaks you want for the ATI based graphics cards.

Re:Funds raising for your RaBiT and NiBiTor development support? - 2009/01/04 23:41 Yeah I suspected as such, well I hope I don't see NiBiTor follow a similar path. So RBEdit is it for now, huh? I will have to take a peek at that.

Mmm well, it is a bit different RaBiT and NiBiTor, since NiBiTor we actually started and are working very close as a team the developer and myself, while for RaBiT that was a known tool and I just wanted to get it also on board of our website. But the developer was more doing us a favor and we did provide our inputs. So different way of working really.
