Re:Any new RaBiT version coming soon, does anyone have info? - 2008/06/27 15:17A community as one is not a pipe dream, the bigger the community, the more together everyone is as theres more people striving after the same goal. One example is techPowerUp, a while ago I worked on fixing the XpertXision Radeon X1950 PRO because the card artifacted even at stock. This was not a one-off and somewhat of a hereditary problem with the XpertVision card, many suffered the same problem even after repeated RMA's, both to the retailer and the manufacturer. The thread grew to some +80 pages in a short space of time.
And the final result was I not only fixed the XpertVision BIOS, I also improved its performance by up to 30% when anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering were used in particular. It wasn't just the users at techPowerUp either that benefitted, users benefitted globally, I had emails from people on different forums, Japan, Germany, etc. You can't tell me knowing you helped that many people out and the fact of knowing your more skilled than the monkeys at XpertVision and/or Palit isn't a good thing.

Re:Any new RaBiT version coming soon, does anyone have info? - 2008/06/27 19:31Good morning, erm I wouldn't say that this doesn't work, what I meant was, where are they all now? As was stated they got what they wanted and left never to be seen or heard from again for the most of them, not very neighbourly for such a large community. And this kind of thing happen rarely, GeForce 7900 GT maybe GeForce 7900 GTX, lots of people had issues and most got through it through the forums including this one.
So I won't say this doesn't work, every so often the world does get together, though it should be like that always. Without these programs like RaBiT and NiBiTor, and coders for the updates, in this case you would have been able to do what?

Re:Any new RaBiT version coming soon, does anyone have info? - 2008/06/28 10:39Well since I having a not so good period lately I have let this thread go a bit before actually responding anything. And I would just like to highlight that the website hosting, my daily posting and so on it what I do when I am free. Well and sometimes I make myself free which is not always what I should do really as it is starting to become putting a burden on my personal life. But in the end I can't keep this website running if there is no income covering the costs and that is what I have those price comparison ads and those contextual ads. And anything coming in on top as extra after deducting all costs is being donated to my friend who is coding NiBiTor.
So don't think that this website is gaining a lot of money cause we aren't as we are not like a website that published reviews every day and do that for a living. I have a day job which is paying quite well, but I am not going to invest any money as such in this website just because the visitors would thing that is normal. I did that the first 6 months to get it up and running, but for now we are just at break even almost every month. And I just hope that as more readers visit uys they will realize we are doing this just as a hobby and not to make any money as such.
And what about RaBiT well, same thing, though no donations yet given really as I agreed to get a new version first and I have saved up a donation to the coder as soon as that is done. Though from what I have as feedback the work is going slow and he is putting his focus and energy on personal life stuff which is normal in the end. Though due to that we are loosing out big time. And the other program for ATI cards are all nice and well but they don't offer all the features that RaBiT has and are so useful. But I guess you know what to do, if you like our website and our help visit or buy though our advertisers...

Now if you could get some Australian sponsors... Yeah, well I understand. But you can visit the sponsors and just see what they have and use their products and prices as a reference. But yes, if we would be able to find a sponsor in Australia I would be more than happy to add that as well.

Re:Any new RaBiT version coming soon, does anyone have info? - 2008/06/30 22:35Well I don't know what or how but we received a donation today of $5, which is really great and that was about eight months ago the last donation. So thanks to who did the donation that is greatly appreciated. And fro all others, if you like our website, just visit our advertisers and check their website, and if possible buy as well via that way online. That helps us a bit and just that bit of everyone is helping us greatly.
