GeForce 9600 GSO and possible to run lower GPU voltages? - 2008/06/24 18:24 I have bought a GeForce 9600 GSO and found it's really hot in my small case. Is it possible to lower its voltage using NiBiTor? Or anything that can be done to get it running less hot, just so in my small case the heat remains at a save level?

Re:GeForce 9600 GSO and possible to run lower GPU voltages? - 2008/06/26 19:43 You would probably have more success in usingNiBiTor to increase the fan speed, cause increase in fan speed will also generate more airflow which in the end will reduce the heat.

Re:GeForce 9600 GSO and possible to run lower GPU voltages? - 2008/06/26 20:30 Your best bet is to post your BIOS on this thread and allow someone to look at it or if you know where in NiBiTor, open the BIOS and check the voltage table for what's available, and also what may be added as voltages. If lowering voltages it is likely that core and memory speeds may have to be reduced also to prevent errors....

Re:GeForce 9600 GSO and possible to run lower GPU voltages? - 2008/06/28 17:49 Please find the BIOS in attached file. I have tried to amend the voltage table using NiBiTor but it has no effect on my card. Please help to take a look to see if I have done something wrong...

Re:GeForce 9600 GSO and possible to run lower GPU voltages? - 2008/06/28 18:59 Well if you want to reduce the heat and to lower as well the voltage you need to also lower the clock speeds if else it will just not work really to get any results. I would set the 3D voltage in the exact mode to 1.05V and lower the core to 525MHz, memory untouched and shader clock to 1340MHz. And try if that makes a difference...
